Discipleship can mean a lot of things, but here's what we're talking about. Do you have a hunger to grow as a child of God and as a follower of Jesus? Are you willing to commit to a cause that requires discipline and self-sacrifice? Are you willing to be a leader as Jesus defines leadership- servanthood and giving up your rights for the sake of others? That's who we're looking for!
Now practically, what does that mean?
Weekly (or more) time for one-on-one and small group mentoring in all areas of your life.
Leading a small group of others who are seeking Jesus.
Making a 2-year commitment to serve in the Whitewater area.
This commitment isn't for everybody, but we don't want to invest a lot of our time and money into people that aren't serious about growing in their faith. No, you don't have to be perfect. You don't even have to be super-spiritual. But you do need a hunger for the Lord. The rest we will figure out together.

How do I get to the church?
Look Up, Lift Up
FREE LUNCH
Drop in Tuesdays between 10:45am and 1pm for a totally free lunch!
Good cooking, friendly servers. You'll almost feel like your home!
Why do we do this? We want to give your wallet a break, and your stomach a treat- all in the name of Christ's love. (Plus, it keeps us feeling young!)
And if that's not cool enough, check out our Water Buffalo Project.through Heifer International. 100% of all donations go towards buying a water Buffalo.
And that includes Sentry receipts! Next time you buy something at Sentry, ask for a friends sticker for your receipt, and bring it to the next lunch. Sentry will give us 1% of your grocery total for the Water Buffalo Project. Why a Water Buffalo?
During the 2009-2010 school year we were able to purchase 2 Water Buffalos, a Goat, and a Sheep for Heifer International. We also served 6,952 students and members of the community free lunch!
Every week, we send out a reminder about lunch, with a devotional written by students (they're really good!) and a calendar of events for the next week.
Looking for a group of students to plan and shape future events and adventures for UWW students on behalf of United Methodist Ministries.
The last frontiers.
The least reached people groups.
Who will reach them?
Today, 649 unengaged, unreached people groups (about 535,000,000 souls) are still beyond the reach of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are spiritually lost and helpless like sheep having no Shepherd. Among them Christ remains unknown, unacknowledged, and unadorned.
These 649 people groups are perhaps the neediest of the needy. They are unengaged, which means that no one has yet taken responsibility to tell them of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. The 649 are at the very heart of the unfinished Great Commission task.
The Mission is to form a global network of local churches, denominations, church planters, and mission agencies that are willing to work together in partnership to see church planting initiatives launched among the 649 Unengaged, Unreached People Groups (UUPGs).
This years Spring Break Mission Trip to Texas was a blast! Check out a few pics below. This trip will be happening again next year. If it is something you would be interested in email umm@uww.edu.
